Since January 1927, The Royal Canadian Legion Burnaby Branch 83 has offered social and financial support to returned service men and women, and their families. The charitable group now has over 400 members, and supports local hospices and veteran hospitals through fundraising initiatives such as an annual poppy drive, 50/50 draws, and meat sales. Funds are further used to support Air Cadets, youth sports groups, The Salvation Army, Cancer research and other groups dedicated to fostering goodwill in our community.
